Great to have Ben Finegold here, i really enjoy your jokes and your lessons are very structured. I hope you will make plenty of videos in the future.
When I taught scholastic chess, I told students-nobody sees everything all the time, that is how you beat higher rated players-this video is a prime example of that. Good job Ben!
Excellent lecture, Ben - thanks!
Extremely enjoyable video! Great first video, which bodes well for many more to come! Thanks!
Wonderful Video and Presentation!!!
Fantastic presentation. Good combination of history, humor, and tactical review.
Hell yeah! I'd love to be a GM oneday lol I know it won't happen but I'm currently having a lot of fun trying! After 1 year of solid play I'm rated just under 1600 FIDE, I hadn't played in 14 years before this!! Very inspirational for up and coming players, excellent analysis - really easy to listen to and ultra-instructive at the same time, a truly winning formula
Great game I'm looking forward to the next part! This was an epic video!
Very good enjoyed your first vodeo.
Thank you for the history of your development and accomplishment of becoming a GM
Great video. I enjoyed the clear insight to the game and the description of the setting that it was played in. Thank you.
Welcome and thanks for the video! I used to play in those little tournaments in Ann Arbor at Ray Garrison's place with you and it's a nice blast from the past to hear your entertaining commentary again!
it is so great to have Ben Finegold on chess.com, he is great!!!!!
por GM Ben Finegold
Making his Video Author debut this weekend is Grandmaster Ben Finegold! With his first video series, Ben explains how all his previous experiences ultimately helped lead him towards earning the GM title. He recalls this particular battle with then IM Boris Kreiman -- an interesting "Berlin Sideline" that has become Ben's specialty -- as the critical game in the 2002 World Open. This victory was a key step on his way towards earning his first GM-Norm. Enjoy!
